I think I need this Penfield Jacket!

I have gone on enough about getting ready for my first New York winter… but I am still not prepared! I am really not a fan of puffer jackets but everyone keeps telling me I need to get one as it gets soooo cold. So I have been having a look around and haven’t found anything until I spotted this Penfield Hoosac jacket…. love! What do you think? Anyone recommend getting a Penfield?

Sundance Film Festival

Yep we are truly in awards season now with the Golden Globes a week ago, Sundance Film Festival kicked off last week and the Oscars just around the corner! Ooh the fashion and men in suits! What else could a girl want.

I was looking through the photos from the Sundance Film Festival getting some tips on how to wrap up warm whilst also trying to be stylish…

Love Christina Hendricks animal print hat and Jimmy Choo handbag.

I would quite like Michael Cera’s hat…

Elizabeth Olsen was cozy in her down feather puffer ( I really just can’t down with puffer jackets!)

Can summer hurry up please! I am so better prepared for that.

Celebrity makeunders

With all the hype around the new film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo it got me thinking about celeb film make unders…

Rooney Mara is transformed in the film into a tormented computer hacker, channeling ‘gutter’ chic! A far cry from her Social Network character and everyday look!

Rooney Mara – Before .. she is an effortless beauty

Rooney Mara – As Lisbeth Salander

Charlize Theron looked stunning as this years Golden Globes, a far cry away from when she played Aileen Wuornos in the film Monster.
Charlize working the red carpet…

Looking not so hot in the film Monster…

I am a big fan of Kate Winslet, but the Reader… ok maybe it is because I didn’t like the film or Kate’s character.

Kate at this years Golden Globes…

In the film the Reader..

Who would of thought some of the worlds most glamorous women could look so horrid….

Shoe ‘tini’ – Jimmy Choo wellies

Shoe ‘tini’ is back!

With plenty of shoes to consume over the holidays I am back with a back log… so of course I had to share my amazing Christmas Jimmy Choo Hunter boots first off! I feel very lucky… a certain friend obviously reads the blog! Can’t wait to trot around New York in the snow in these babies. What do you think?

Golden Globes fashion

With the Golden Globes this evening/today it has got me very excited about which celeb will be wearing what designer.. so I thought I would take a look back at last years fashion ahead of later..

Emma Stone rocked the pastels last year. But something tells me this year she is going to wear a show stopper of a dress! After her movie success in 2011 I am expecting big things.

Halle Berry is hot! With her recent engagement announcement to Olivier Martinez I am expecting flesh and lots of PDA’s!

January Jones! After the recent birth of her first baby and the controversy over who the baby daddy is, I think January will be smouldering and sexy in a sophisticated way this year.

Roll on the red carpet!

The last few weeks…

First off let me apologise for the lack of posts! Lets just say life has got in the way of blogging the last few weeks but hopefully now there is light at the end of the tunnel!

So in the last few weeks…

Christmas!!

Alcohol… and a flight upgrade! Thanks British Airways.

Disco fries and far to much diner food..

Tartinis had New Year’s Eve in New York City – Yep that meant beer pong!

Oh and lobster….

Leather

Sorry for the lack of posts! Christmas was insane flying all over the place, work, eating… anyways we are back and very excited for the new year!

Christmas gave me time to think about what is missing from my wardrobe… I have been banging on about getting a leather skirt for ages and I think it will have to be purchase number one of 2012. Here are some of the beauties I have been eyeing up:

Maje (I LOVE Maje!) Jalouse skirt

Alice + Olivia pleated leather skirt

Marc Jacobs rose pleated leather skirt

Madewell leather belltoll skirt

I should probably get all of them just to make sure… a perfect winter wardrobe must have!

Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale is looking hot to trot in this photo! Love the nautical stripes and leather skirt combo, this screams look at what your missing to me… for all of you who have head your head stuck in wrapping paper this week. Ashley split with her long term boyfriend, who I bet is feeling a little sick after seeing this photo…

Shoe ‘tini’ – Hunter wellies

Yep you heard Hunter Wellies! They’re a wardrobe staple, a festival goers must have and a winter essential. Scrap that just an essential! They come in a range of colours and designs, I love their newest edition the below laced Verbier booties:

But in my eyes the classic hunter welly rocks, I am sure it can be found at the bottom of every celebrities wardrobe and farmers of course! Add them to the Christmas wish list….

Gap

As you are quite aware from all my posts, I am stocking up on warm clothes for the New York winter. I noticed last week I was running very low on tights, warm ones anyway and decided to head to Gap to stock up. Well I went in for tights and left with practically half the store! They had one of the best sales I have seen in ages, check out what I got..

A lovely cosy gilet – $30

Shirt – $11

Jacket – what for it… $27

As if it couldn’t get any better… hats, scarves and gloves were buy one get one free!

Shoe ‘tini’ – Miu Miu

It was a tough call this week deciding what was going to make it on to Shoe ‘tini’… then I came across these light ladies… I have a mega soft spot for an animal print! These Miu Miu biker boots are to die for, with a buckled harness detail around the heel and leopard print upper. They can dress down any party dress and would look perfect with skinny jeans. Add to my Christmas wish list please…

Henri Lloyd

Featured post: As most of you know we are big fans of heritage brand’s… and on my recent search for a good winter coat I came across an old friend… Henri Lloyd.

Which got me reminiscing… whilst in school I actually owned a Henri Lloyd (a Harrington to be specific, similar to the one above, COOL!), it was pretty much all the rage to have one! They are not in the traditional sense a heritage brand, as say Burberry. But, founded in the 1960′s in Manchester (where I was born) it tugs on my sentimental heart strings!

From a history point of view Henri Lloyd coats where actually and still are made for technical sports, most famously sailing. They have the worlds leading range of sailing jackets, with many adventurers including Sir Ranulph Fiennes opting to wear the brand. Bear Grylls eat your heart out!

Anyway, back to my search for a winter coat…. I am still looking! The search continues urgh……

The Perfect Christmas Dress

Tomorrow is my work Christmas Party.  Now, I’ve always managed to get out of work Christmas parties, but not this year and to be honest I’m not looking forward to it (bah humbug!). But tis the season and another perfect excuse to splurge on a new dress! Here are some of our faves to get us in the festive holiday spirit…

I’m in love with this little white dress by Zac Posen for the ultimate chic party look
